X-rays will be taken to see the position of your tooth. To keep the area dry a sheet of rubber is placed around the tooth.

Anesthesia is given through injection to numb the decayed tooth. It will give you a feel of a bit of a pinch. It’s important so that you do not feel the major pain during the treatment.

Then small tools are used to create an opening in the tooth so that access can be done inside the tooth.

Next dentist will use tools to clean away damaged pulp also he will file the shape of the inner layer of the tooth. Water is used to flush away the debris. The further doctor will put appropriate medicine to remove bacteria completely to avoid infection.

Once the tooth is completely clean, tooth opening will be closed with a temporary filling.

After a few weeks, treatment will be completed by filling a permanent crown on top of your tooth.

Post treatment care?

Until your root canal treatment is not finished, till permanent crown is not placed take care of these things. 
 Do not eat hard food.
 Brush with a soft hand.
 Avoid touching the area with your tongue.
 Eat ice-cream.
 Take proper medication as prescribed by your doctor.

How to prevent re-infection?

 Brush regularly two times a day. 
 Reduce daily sugar intake.
 Drink plenty of water.
 Regular dental checkups.
